“The Lord bless you and keep you; make his face shine upon you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.” Numbers 6:24-26
When I think of a prayer to pray over my children, this is what comes to my mind. The Lord spoke this blessing through the high priest Aaron over the people of Israel in the desert. The word used for “you” in this passage is the singular version. Meaning, God spoke this blessing individually over each of the Israelites. What a demonstration of his love for his people!
